I want to say my experience. I have a laptot with an rtx2060 6gb, intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz and 32 gb of ram. And it runs "fine" at medium settings. It's not perfect, fps drops and some occasionale freezing, but at beggining i thought that my computer wasn't able to run the game properly. I have a city of 18k people and i'm enjoying the game. I'm optimistic.

with this game i just have one problem.
even if i play the game with all details to low, when i zoom, and i start to see a lot of people walking around, my zotac 4090's rpm goes from 1200/1300 to 3100/3200 rpm. How can i solve this?
ps: gaming resolution is 4k
 
I built a city of 230,000 people.I use I7-10750H CPU and RTX 2060 6GB Laptop GPU. I adjusted the game graphics options. So I confirmed that the game outputs over 40 frames in the city center. Thank you, CO! But CO has to fix the siulation speed. The simulation speed is 0.2x based on a speed of 230,000 people.

On a city of 500k, no slowdown on speed 2. Smooth speed is about 1.95x

This is because I don't use any parks. After adding them, the game tanks and smooth speed goes to hell. There is something with parks or homeless that causes loads of unnecessary calculations dropping the sim speed. At least that is what I see and have experienced.

Occasional slowdowns happen when mass transit becomes overwhelmed and trains/ metro carry full loads. That's 800+ people pathfinding when the unload, seems to be very performance heavy especially with metro. Hence I took it out of service and use only buses, trams and trains.

I took a break for a year and reinstalled it, but there was no improvement. When I close the game, it stays in a background-like image of the sea for at least 5 minutes, it literally locks the computer, and I can't go back to the desktop.
