Patch 1.05b fixes the most serious bugs. Thanx, Johan!
Seemingly there was no time left to address the 'most wanted list'. Maybe next time?
1) Minor countries AI bugs:
- Some minors tend to settle for most unfortunate peace conditions, even when having achieved major victories.
- In war, minors tend to besiege provinces far away instead of ones close to their border.
- AI tends to maintain huge armies on islands neglecting the continent. (Main example=Venice). In these cases, the AI tends to declare war, even if there are no troops on the mainland and no transports to ship the troops there.
This one occurs maybe only with games started before upgrading to 1.05b
- If countries attack strongly garrisoned isles, they tend to constantly send too weak forces piecemeal, even if enough ships/armies are available in principle.

2) There are still far too many errors in the German translation of messages:
- Still, all sea battles are referred to as 'Feldschlacht' in the protocol
- On the other hand You often recieve messages from the 'Admirality' where it absolutely makes no sense...
- Most annoying is 'The population of x is rebelling against rebels' ('Die Bevölkerung von x rebelliert gegen Rebellen')
- There is still garbled text in some of the info windows (e.g. for the brewery)

3) When agreeing to pay a certain amount of indemnities, the AI nevertheless
pays only so much as it has in it´s treasury. Instead it should either refuse and a
message 'We don´t have that much money' should be displayed for the player´s
information or (even better) a message 'We could pay You x ducats, Do You
agree?' should be displayed with the option to agree or refuse. I now consider
this a bug and not just a case of 'most wanted change', because so many
players are annoyed by it. After all, the AI can go for indemnities other than in steps of 250 ducats.
4) When doubleclicked, sliderbuttons tend to move a bit before turning grey
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000141.html
5) There are some tricky situations, where the question, who controlls a province cannot be settled and some sort of a 'dead end' is reached:
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000163.htm
6) 'Save and load' still restores besieged fortresses (bar turning green). There are also some other unwanted sideeffects like allies not calling for help when going to war (when saved just after allies having declared war and while help request still pending).
7) Armies/ships sometimes just disappear (only confirmed with ships, but there´s evidence in case of armies, too). If the disappearance of armies is due to the AI disbanding them, then disbanding decisions are sometimes extremely stupid, leading to the immediate downfall of the country:
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000174.html
8) Still, some people experience frequent random crashes. Some state, that these crashes were NOT occuring BEFORE upgrading to 1.05/1.05b. Some even cannot start EU with 1.05b, whereas having no probs running earlier versions (German forum).
9) There are still problems with the data in the ledger (see Oranje´s post in thisthread). See also here:
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum1/HTML/001068.html
10) There is a 'neverending battle bug': Sometimes a battle 'freezes' and never gets resolved. (Proved by savegame sent to me from a German player.)
11) Only the human player is in fact affected by the new 'assault morale' restriction
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000190.html
12) Brandenburg never changes religion. (Pierre stated, he had seen it change once or twice, though. But that was in the beta and still too rare an event anyway.)
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000197.html
13) There´s a new 'siege bug': When two countries (allied or not) besiege the same city and one of them concludes a peace treaty/seperate peace, the fortress is restored to full, even when there´s still the other enemy in the siege, who has therefore to begin anew. This even holds, when the retiring army is very small compared to the remaining force.
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000199.html
14) Sometimes a country enters an alliance, with which it is at war!!!!
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000201.html
15) Fleet attrition is set to zero after reorganizing 'en voyage'.
16)
Removed the Shiite settlers bug (manual is wrong)
17) During war, sometimes minor AI troops seem to march through provinces of countries not at war to reach their destination. (See strategy´s post below, I´ve confirmed this with regard to HRE countries - not providing the emperor of course.)
18) Combat routine should be doublechecked: There are still occasions where the reduction of morale and/or troopnumbers seems not to be related in any way to the displayed 'fire/shock' values. (See also strategy´s post below.)
19) If the budget window IS OPENED while investment in stability results in stability= 3, then the monthly expenditure goes to the treasury (as expected), BUT the 'treasury slider' doesn´t move accordingly. So it´s possible to get high monthly income without suffering inflation. (Bug found and confirmed by various players on the German board.)
20) Every patching registers EU anew without deleting the old entries from the registry.
21) All too often, an army consisting only of some cannons wins against fairly big armies of infantry.
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum1/HTML/001020.html
22) A given degree of tolerance for state religion gives less stability bonus than the same amount for another religion. This is leading to unplausible results/events and often makes conversion of provinces/state religion irrational.
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000238.html
23) The presence of an army or 'army in conscription' or 'promotion of bureaucrat' in a province in some cases prevents accessing tradecenters or capital cities, because of overlapping. If an army is stationed on very small islands like Malta, the province itself is in some cases not accessible anymore. Some tradecenters, especially Tianin seem to be only accessible through 'trade mode', no matter what.
24) There´s a bug concerning missions, which leads to the game crashing. Sometimes, when several missions are ongoing, the completion of one removes actually also another mission. Selecting a new mission restores the missing one but results in a crash when the mission status is checked in the ledger later.
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000243.html
25) The assault sound does not stop when an assault is ended manually by the player.
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum1/HTML/001068.html
26) When the computer sends reinforcements, and on time of arrival the army in the reinforced province has changed status in the meantime (e.g. is now attacked), then the reinforcement does not join but is only standing by. (See Oranje´s post on page 2 in this thread). This problem also occurrs sometimes regarding the human player. Lastly it sometimes leads to the neverending battle bug.
27)
Removed, because not a bug.
28) The leader file for Crimea has the wrong extension (kri instead of cri).
29) If You annex a country which controls a COLONY of a third country with wich it is at war with, the game crashes. This is probably, because the procedure tries to allocate that colony to the annexing country, too. (If You edit the savegame thereby giving control of the said province back to the owner before annexing, no crash occurs). I sent a savegame proving this point to Johan.
30) It's possible to convert several times back and forth between Protestantism and Catholicism (even in one day), making lots of money, with the side effects not being that bad.
31) Some players stated, that in some rare cases, when they tried to build an army in a province, it was built in
another province instead. This cannot be a simple error (due to players accidentally selecting another than the intended province) as the province where the army was built didn´t even belong to the player´s country.
Caveat: Up to this point, it´s not clear, though, whether this bug is maybe due to incorrect hacking of the files.

No bugs, but most wanted changes:
1) Ship attrition supervisor
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum1/HTML/000742.html
2) Stats of the leaders should be displayed when moving the cursor over an army,
at least when 'fog of war' is off.
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000084.html
3) Toggle automatic trader dispatch on/off for each cot seperately
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000071.html
4) Peace offer flag in upper right screen should be bigger
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000071.html
5) 'History' in the ledger should be implemented
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000094.html
6) Knowledge of map should at least extend from provinces with bigger cities to
bordering provinces after a certain timespan, so that minors who have no access
to explorers/conquistadors (and not enough knowledge of surroundings to
sucessfully trade maps) are not forever 'confined'.
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000107.html
7) After a peace treaty is concluded, troops should be able to return home crossing allied territory.
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forums/Forum7/HTML/000174.html
8) It would be REALLY nice, if the inheriting of Eastern Prussia by Brandenburg (which is already possible in principle, but highly unlikely) could be somewhat 'encouraged'. I´m thinking of a special event, with a say 75% probability during a certain timespan, but only in case Eastern Prussia is still independent. The country should then change name to 'Prussia' and have the prussian leaderfiles available.
Maybe at least a 'reduced' implementation of this proposal (i.e. without the renaming procedure, and the leader file thingy solved by simply making a 'copy' of the Prussian one for Brandenburg) is possible within EU1?
9) It should be possible to organize troops during a siege in a more convenient manner (i.e. the same way as when not staging a siege).
10) There should be a message when an army has finished boarding a fleet.
11) Savegames should be deletable from within the game.
12) When a leader dies, You do not have the option to 'go there' ('zeigen'). This should be added.
13) In the ledger, a list should be added, which comprehensively shows which buildings every province already has. One should also be able to access the provinces from that list.
14) People would like to have the improved monarch/leader files integrated into an official patch
15) For the sake of historical accuracy, changing to
Counterreformed should not only leave stability intact (as it is now), but also the diplomatic relations to other catholic and counterreformed countries, as 'counterreformation' was not thought of as establishing a new brand of religion.
(There´s also a bug in the German version, as the message You get when changing to counterreformed, incorrectly says, that stability 'severly suffered' and that 'all alliances are broken', which is not true.)
16) For the sake of historical accuracy, the Golden Horde should recieve 20k soldiers. Also the diplomatic relations of the countries in the region should be adjusted to represent the actual situation at 1492. I pointed this out in detail here:
