Intro

It was a very harsh winter in 1935. From August till December it had only snowed and hailed. This had caused much stress and disorder among the citizens of the World. Because this phenomenon has never happened before. People were blaming everything and everyone because of this natural disaster. Especially people in the democracy-state’s were angry, because their governments were not doing anything to help them.

Because all of the Western Powers were looking at what Germany and USSR were doing. The Western Power particularly frightened by the Nazi’s, to be precise they were frightened of their leader Adolf Hitler. Because this peculiar fellow was the Head of State of a very dangerous and proud nation that only in 1914 set the world ablaze.

Some people said that this was the mark of the beginning of the end. Because what would happen in the next couple of years was something that no one in 1935 would have guessed and something so tremendous frightening that it would shake the very foundations of the Earth.

Some experts today say that because of the harsh winter and the angry mob of people the Western Powers were more on their guard then when there was no harsh winter. This meant that they were building up their industrial power and they were also recruiting their army. While the Allied forces did these so did the German and their “soon” to be allies, Italy Hungary Romaine.
But German High Command were also mustering their strength. They did this with very smart moves. They first took care of their unemployed people, to do this they order the building of many State Factories.

This was the beginning of the end for continental Europe.

Chapter 1

January 1936.

January was a crucial month for the future of the Reich. It was decide that to boast the upcoming war effort the country needed to be prepared for war. In order to do so the Führer had a conversation with the Head of Government: Rudolf Hess, with the Armaments Minister, who would play a vital role in the upcoming years, Werner von Blomberg, with the Foreign Minister Konstatin von Neurath and with the Minister of Security Wilhelm Frick.

This conversation, or as it would later be name as the “Winter Stellungnahme”, was a vital talk. The Führer knew this and he had this talk because all of these men would be crucial parts of his master plan to conquer continental Europe.

Werner von Blomberg was a old but cunning general that knew how to motivate his army’s to get the job done. He was a big shot who couldn’t be taking out with the public going to rebel, Hitler knew this but he also knew that von Blomberg was of more use in a war then in the time he had to muster his fast growing industrial Reich.

Konstatin von Neurath was a man that was not trusted by the mainstream NSDAP members, mainly because Konstatin von Neurath was just a member of the regime and he was also not a man that agreed with everything what the Nazi’s did. Hitler wanted to see of this babbling was true and asked the former Minister-President of Würtemburg to this meeting.

Wilhelm Frick on the other hand as a old part of the NSDAP core, there for Hitler had trust in this man. But there were reports coming in the Reichstag that Wilhelm Frick took his job to serious, he even treated the German People. This was something Hitler couldn’t help him in his dream of industrializing Germany. Therefore Wilhelm Frick would have to be removed from the picture, which was harder than it looked because the Minister had some big and powerful friends that supported him. Neither the less he had to be removed.

The meeting ended with the retirement of Wilhelm Frick, he was follow up by Rudolf Diels. Rudolf was Herman Goring’s follower but he still knew how to pleas the people.
Field Marschall was asked to give his function to Hjalmar Schacht. Schacht was a businessman so in the Führer’s eyes he was the perfect man for the job for his upcoming industry might.
And Konstatin von Neurath was given a final chance by the Führer, but the Führer did knew that as soon as there was a better man for the job Mr. von Neurath could kiss his job farewell.

Some historian said that these three moves by the Führer were his best moves ever. Because the new Minister of Armaments managed to boost the economy with absolute cunningness and even though the new Minister of Security was a lacky of Goring he still managed to make a certain rest among the people of Greater Germany.

What the people of Germany didn’t knew was that this meeting was the first step into an another cabinet meeting which would later be known as the “Schwarze Nacht” meeting.

On the "Reply Panel", the second drop down menu (counting from the upper left towards the right) lets you change the font size.

You can center the pic using the fifth button of the second row.

Thank you. I haven't saw those options :eek:o

This should be interesting, I'm looking forward to it.

Well for the actually game footage you will have to wait for the weekend. Then I am going to start playing, but for now I think am going to post some plans that I have for Das Grösse Deutsche Reich.

Anyway I am happy those there are some people interested in my AAR

Whats your naval plan?

Well i am going to build Carriers. And some battleships/battlecruisers around 1941 december.

Are you keeping the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau or are you cancelling them?

Well I am going to keep those just for the flavour of things and because without them i cant properly defend my transporters. ( I think you just gave me a brilliant idea for a update).

Anyway I think tonight i am going to update.

Chapter 2

February

It had only been a month or so but the Ministers of Nazi Germany were still fearing for their jobs, or worse. It was known that the Führer could go from his mild statue to going berserk in a split second. Admiral Raeder also knew this. But still the Admiral had requested a meeting with the Führer, the Admiral wanted to ask the Führer something regarding the future of his beloved fleet.

The Führer had only recently announced that Doenitz was the new chieftain of the German u-boats and that Admiral Reader was in command of the surface fleet of Germany. This parting of the fleet was a good think in Reader’s mind but he was concerned that it also meant, he thought, that the surface fleet would be dismantled in no time. Because everyone in the German High Command knew that the German Surface fleet in the Great War not very effective was. This meant that it couldn’t break the blockade. This worried the Admiral because it was also known that the U-Boats were very effective that could mean that Doenitz would get his subs but the Admiral would get nothing.

It was said to be a long, sweaty and nerve wrecking conversation that the Admiral had with the Führer. The conclusion was not made public at the time, but we know now that the Führer made some strange promises at that day. Maybe it was the sun that shined at the Führer his neck or maybe it was the fact that the Admiral had some nice blue prints of BattleShips, but anyway the Führer order the Admiral to disband the entire Baltische Flotte except for the two Battle cruisers, and that the Scharnhorst and the Gneisenau were to be merged with the Kriegsmarine once completed.
The Führer also had a meeting with Doenitz. This meeting at first started out pleasantly for the newly promoted Admiral but would end in disaster. Mainly because the Führer told Doenitz that he wanted the entire newly formed Wolfs pack to be disbanded. This meant that Doenitz was without a job, the new Admiral protested but knew that he couldn’t protest to much without fearing for his life.

The Führer said to Admiral Reader that in 1942 he could get new Battleships and even better Carriers than he could possible dream off. This also meant that the Luftwaffe would have to supply the airplanes. With much talk with Hermann Goering the Führer finally convinced that Air marchall that disobeying the Führer wishes would mean an one way trip to an abandon island.

This day would be remembered as the day that the Luftwaffe would become a pawn of the Kriegsmarine in 1942. Admiral Reader was thrilled and Goering was talking to his self about something that would cost him his live if it was made public.

Battle Reports

So had 3 years to build up my army. Half off the time used to build my IC. Anyway here are my reports.

1270916533-370.jpg

As you can see i have 81 divisions to attack Poland, 9 of them are panzers.

1270917268-240.jpg

The West Wall consisting of 32 divisions.

1270917335-10.jpg

When I attacked Poland I knew that I had to take Denmark asap. Because the AI loves to make landings in Eastern Germany.

1270917417-360.jpg

The Kriegsmarine first action in more then 20 years. I managed to sink 1 destroyer.

1270917497-960.jpg

This picture speaks for it self.

1270917594-130.jpg

Success the trap has closed. There are 9 divisions captured in Poznan.

1270917678-10.jpg

The battle for Poznan, while the Panzers continue to cut through Poland's army.

1270917855-670.jpg

The Battle of Cracow begins.

1270917930-070.jpg

Overview of the Poland campaign.

1270917978-310.jpg

Overview of the Denmark campaign.

1270918023-760.jpg

Battle of Poznan and Cracow are over, the Wehrmacht continues to harass the Polish army.

1270918104-650.jpg

The battle of Torun is finally over. It was the bloodies battle so far in the War.

1270918162-690.jpg

Poland is cut in two and now Warsaw is under siege.

1270918209-290.jpg

The Battle for Warsaw is over, as is the hope for Poland.

1270918305-340.jpg

Warsaw is in Germany hands after a some skirmish. After Warsaw falls in the hands of the Germans the USSR attacks and occupies Eastern Poland this concludes the Poland campaign.

1270918367-440.jpg

Not long after the Polish defeat the Dens also surrender. This concludes the Danish Campaign.

Now I have to redeploy to the West asap because if i can't beat the French this year I lose. So next update you get to see Fall Gelb.

PS. If someone still is following this please say something else I will have to abandon which will be a shame because I have some nice screen shots to share but if none is following this then there will be no screen shots, and you also not witness my glory in the USSR(at least I hope I can get to the glory because they are bonus-ed).

Well, your first victories are in. Heh, it'd be interesting to say the least if the Soviets were to invade you when you're busy in France. Will you rush the western campaign, or sit out the Phoney War historically?
I'll be reading.

Did Poland seem much stronger with the AI bonuses? I'm looking forward to seeing how tough the allies and Russia will be. I hope they bring you a heap of grief. :D

Well no Poland is always a pushover, but it did take me more time to conquer them then last time.

Well Russia is going to be the mainproblem, and the bomber of the Allies.

Fall Gelb

1271048722-630.jpg

So Fall Gelb begins with a little naval action.

1271048810-240.jpg

The final hours of the Battle of Ghent are upon us.

1271049563-410.jpg

This concludes the Belgium Campaign.

1271049603-750.jpg

At this point of the game the world goes nuts, Italy DOW's Greece, Romania DOW's Italy and Yugoslavia DOW's Italy.

1271049662-890.jpg

Another overview of the Campaign in the West.

1271049711-080.jpg
