... Imagine EU V, where you sit in your throne and then order around your advisors, who are represented in full 3D animation, whilst looking over a map table (the current map screen). Damn, I hope I live long enough to experience the VR-games boom :p

That would be pretty cool, except for VR is terrifying. You can't see anything around you, and can't grab say a drink very easily. Sigh.

I like the basic idea, as far as I understand it ( I've never tried VR ). If you can wear the VR goggles around could you play Eu IV whilst doing the the low-intentsity part of one's work-out ? ( I'm talking about running or low-weight, nothing where attention is necessary ).

I don't believe it would be wise.
I only tried the second prototype (Crystal Cove), but according to my friend (the one who took and also tried the first one), it may cause you motion-sickness if you do something that doesn't 'sit well' with what you see. For example, you are running in the game when in reality you sit in your chair. That's why games that you sit in them seem perfect for it (like that Eve demo, racing games etc.).

Makes sense I guess. Although I think it's probably something you just need to get used to.
Like how a lot of kids get sick riding a car, but don't after a while.

VR grand strategy games would be ... interesting, the comets look like they're coming right at you!
