Okay so I started off as Date with 3 demesne's and now own 60 provinces. However, although I at first had a positive religious affiliation with Shintoism especially, but had Christian churches and Buddhist temples constructed too, I've been getting ridiculous amounts of rebellions. In my current save game there are 8 rebellions going on at once, and even if I suppress one another two appear instead. I tried leaving Shintoism but that didn't work, these ridiculous amounts keep happening.
Is this normal and is there any way to stop it? It's stopping my expansion into central Japan because I don't want to lose provinces to religious factions - it wouldn't be so bad if there were just 1 or 2 but 8 at once is ridiculous.
