It's probably adding in the Phillipines population along with Cuba. Remember that's roughly 40,000,000 from the Phillipines.

And Madrid has 10 million inhabitants!

In 1835 spain has a pop of 15-20 million, in 1861 its 98 million of which 15% are phillipine. In 1881 where spain has the same colonial empire there pop is 42 million of which 33% are phillipine. In 1914 when they are reduced to only there national lands in Iberia they have 21 million.

For the record I'm using 1.03b but I noticed the the same thing in 1.03. I cant speak for earlier patches as I didnt have the game then.

But I think a pop of 80 million+ in iberia in 1861 is a little out of line. Thats double what spain + portugal has in 2004. It's annoying to see spain become the preeminent power in the world everytime I want to play out the civil war.

This is already logged.

For the record

Spain 1838 = 12.4 million
Spain 1860 = 15.7 million
Spain 1884 = 17.0 million
Spain 1914 = 20.5 million

Phillipines 1830 = 2.5 million
Phillipines 1867 = 4.3 million
Phillipines 1881 = 6.0 million
Phillipines 1914 = 9.0 million

Cuba 1833 = 0.7 million
Cuba 1861 = 1.4 million
Cuba 1877 = 1.5 million
Cuba 1914 = 2.5 million

1836 and 1914 are pretty much on the mark, 1861 and 1881 are miles out.
