- as do all of us ;)
- don't know
- all
- some
- everything you want (or can achieve)

Johan/Hartmann/whoever knows,

Regarding editing graphics - there are sprite and bitmap files for certain nations, while other European nations have generic graphics. Can you add special graphics for existing nations (e.g. can I put in country-specific graphics for Bayern)? I would use Portugal for some editing so I could have their graphics, but I need them for a nation which will turn Protestant ... Hartmann, what have you done with the graphics for your alternate grand campaign?

Thanks!

Tom: Our 'master of shields' Jeremy McGuinn provided us with all types of shields and the flags. Every nation has it´s own, so this is easily implementable.
Not so the unit graphics: The tag-to graphics relation is hardcoded. Shure, You could replace the files the BAV tag is related too, but then all other tags pointing to these files would be bavarian style also. In the IGC we tried to use tags with appropriate unit graphics attached wherever possible. But as we ran out of tags, we had to make some compromises, e.g. DAI VIET have a 'mogul type' unit graphic, because there was no additional Chinese style tag. The shields, flags, monarchnames and religion-based church-graphics have to provide the appropriate atmosphere alone.

But nothing can be done to really get rid of the problem, sorry! :(

Regards, Hartmann

Hartmann,

Yes, I was referring to the unit graphics. Thanks for your response - it fully answered my question. :) ... and :( - for I was hoping that by changing the POR units to THU for example, one could change which nation they applied to. And since national religion is hardcoded as well, if you want something realistic, it hampers your ability to adjust the tags to the graphics you want.

You can´t. And frankly, I don´t know what guides this. It may be hardcoded for a tag, but it probably is attached to the region where You place the capital (which would be much better, of course).
