This is kinda funny. I complained in earlier posts that the battles in the prologue are too easy. Now it's kinda tough, but this is not a complain. I'm loving the battles and the game. The thing is though, I spent about 6-7 hours trying to win a battle (Morgana vs Aislin-or whatever is name is) But I couldn't manage to win. Got really close once though. Has anyone managed to win this battle? I'm playing with nightmare difficulty level.

Another tough battle (and this is a REALLY tough one, almost impossible to win in Nightmare difficulty level) is the battle of Eboracum. The enemy's units are behind the walls and I can't even manage to eliminate a single unit with my archers. If I go near the wall, I'm showered with arrows.

I won both battles using the auto-battle button, but I really want to know if anyone managed to win them using the normal battle mode.

I didn't do that battle yet. But if they won't march on you, can't you just hold back and spam them with spells?

I use a couple of mages with mana regeneration items and a lot of destruction spells, it works pretty well.

I won both of those on Nightmare (eventually), but that Eboracum battle seemed bugged to me - the AI just stood there at various points, and one of my units was frozen, running in place, which the AI got stuck attacking for most of the battle... but it didn't take any damage.

I saw some of the enemy units had over 100,000 hp. I basically had to exploit glitches and hit them with VL lightning about 100 times each :( This battle was mentioned in the patch - maybe it was toned down, or maybe there's a solution to some of the special defences somewhere I didn't find...

I failed against Aislin the first time but managed second time, although there were basically about two survivors on my side...

Got a few more questions AlistairNY, if you don't mind. Did you win the battle with Aislin only the main skills Morgana had, or did you acquire more skills? And do you remember how you fought? In forests? Out in the open? Who did your archers target? What locations did you occupy?

Sorry for the many questions. lol

I think I put everyone on hold and let them come to me, and they were relatively dispersed as they turned up so I didn't have to fight them all together. I don't really remember the details. I think I let them take the VLs then when those units had departed I took the VLs from behind them. I remember as I failed first time at this one I had Morgana do some other stuff first to toughen up... One thing I didn't do that might well have helped was Samhain's Touch. I've found that helpful in other cases.

Good luck!
