I'm saying the battle is over. Rome fell, Jerusalem triumphed.
Alot of people (many of them Christian ) believe that the vatican and the catholic church are the whore of babylon

There are many ways of interpreting Revelation. Given that it is so heavily allegorical, many theories can and have been read into it.
I prefer the theory that seems most appropriate for the time period when Revelation was written, i.e. ancient pagan Rome. So the prophecy is already fulfilled.
But how can we guarantee that it's not talking about some catholic empire in the future?
Isn't there any way to prove without a shadow of a doubt that its pagan rome?I can't. I also can't guarantee the sun will rise tomorrow.
Out of curioisty, what would be so bad about a Catholic Empire ? I mean we had already plenty of them.
Ah I see, well that would be good news.If the vatican was the whore of babylon it would prove the bible is really the word of god

I can't live with that uncertaintyNo. Again, everything in Revelation is written allegorically, you're not going to be able to prove or disprove any theory either way. You'll have to simply deal with probabilities.
Plenty of time to repent and be born again in Christ if the Vatican first has to overthrow the Italian government and turn Rome fifteen times richer than it is today.
Worry less, live moreI can't live with that uncertainty
I need to know the objective truthWorry less, live more
I am NEVER going to become a Christian
No you don't, because you cannot "need" things that don't exist. Listen to Abdul, he speaks wisdom (usually).I need to know the objective truth
If you aren’t a Christian, why would you even think that Revelations could have true prophecies? The simplest explanation is that the text is meant to be the Rome that was persecuting the co-religionists of the writer. Unless you have faith in the literal truth of the Bible there is no reason to expect the prophecy to come true.
If the bible is the word of god then most of us are going to hell FOREVER
