If you happen to be playing a peace-loving nation that has somehow managed to get itself embroiled in a war versus every other country in the world, then if you attempt to access the trade screen, the game will promptly crash to desktop. It seems someone forgot to do a check to make sure the list of available countries to trade with wasn't null before attempting to display it.
