Greatly appreciate this mod. I noticed that when I put a tram stop next to a intersection with a another tram line going perpendicular, the game doesnt like it and Im not able to connect every line. Thank you for your work:)
 
is there any plans to add the option for having traffic use 1 particular lane on non intersections. like if your doing a specific thing where you want vehicles to stay in their lane for a given segment to help with congestion from traffic cutting over last minute. examples like on ramps and off ramps where traffic would just immediately switch into those lanes cause of the games mechanic of even use of lanes
 
do you think in the fture, the game automated roundabouts would be able to work with this mod, or it's just code limitaions? I'm sure I can wait for intersection assets wheneveer that drops, just curious.
 
Don't know if anybody has said previously, but it doesn't work on Roundabouts for me....

Awesome work! And I'm looking forward to the custom traffic light feature. The current TLE mod is weak when handling complex intersections like those have 5 or more roads connected to and intersections with trams. TMPE is a great tool to handle these complex traffic lights.

Amazing, much needed core-mod imo, however, i feel like something isn't working;

  1. Vehicle's still change lane's -- in-between the intersection nodes -- to reach their destination; (they do respect the lane direction within(!) the intersection, but not outside of it);
    1. So the traffic flow will often grind to a hold because they want to merge before the newly customized intersection, even if the intersection (or road with multiple segments) before it has the correct lanes; even if it's in-between two customized sections, they will use the in-between section to make sure they will reach their desired next lane at the upcoming segment.
  2. When there are no real deviating directions possible, the game and the mod will correctly (visually) connect the lane-points to show it will only go straight forward (even when manually setting it up that way). This seems correct, however, the vehicles still feel free to change lanes at those points (non intersections). It seems to ignore the instructions outside of clear intersections nodes with multiple directions/lanes.
I don't know any of the underlying technical workings, but it feels like the vehicles are allowed to choose on their own to change lanes / control their behavior outside of intersections.

Yes, in this game cims have more freedom to choose and make traffic hard to control. Make you think, uh?

It does not make me think. That's like saying vehicle commuters not needing to respect bus lanes (they are there for a reason) :p
For many people the fun is in actually managing the traffic with the given tools with consistency. This perhaps not working is fine, it's an early mod, but yea..
 
If you have both TLE and Traffic installed, please update TLE to the latest version which should no longer crash.
I have both latest TLE and Traffic installed, but the game still would crash on a few minutes, by the way, TLE can manage the traffic by one mod, after now we need 2 mods to do the same job and the point-to-point setting is not as convenient as the previous arrow guidance.
