I tranfered a saved game (both of the files) from a laptop with winXP to a computer with Win 2K. Both have the same patches. When I try to start the scenario, the game quits to windows with no explination.

do they still work on the originating laptop? I'm thinking it might just be a coincidence and they aren't working anymore on the laptop...
are the files 100% identical on both machines? meaning they have the same size?
If you copy the files again, to they work now? (compress them with Winzip)
Actually Viper, I just figured it out. i was compressing with Winace, and I was using a floppy (my cd-rw is on the fritz) and the floppy doesn't like that type of data so i think that, despite the fact that everything LOOKS fine, something mean happens in the transfer.....It worked fine whe I used the history parser on it to work on my AAR though. Thanks for the help. I'll try to find a cd to transfer it on.
