Hello all. I'd like to transfer my saved game file for my Italian campaign from my desktop to my new laptop but I don't know if this is possible. Does anyone know if the save will be recognized by the laptop? I have the save game on Steam, and have bought a flash drive to do the transfer. If anyone could advise me on this I'd appreciate it.

Couldn't you have just e-mailed it to yourself? I should certainly think that it will work OK... what problem could you possibly encounter? It's just a pair of text files.

Ok I bought a 4gb flash drive and tried transferring the file. I copied and pasted it into steamapps/common/hoi2/doomsday/scenarios/saved games folder. When I tried to load the game it wouldnt work. Any ideas?

If you compress the file you should have no problem with emailing it.

If you are running Vista you may be running into a UAC problem. Not sure if you can install games outside of Program Files with Steam but you could try disabling UAC.
There should normally be no problem with moving the savegame files between systems.
