Hello again, sorry to bother everyone. My friend and I have been having a weird problem with multiplayer. I can connect to my friend's game when he hosts, but he can't connect to mine if I try to host. We both have UDP 1630-1638 (or whatever the right ones are) open and have both turned off our firewalls to stop any problems that might cause. Anyway, when I join my friend's game, and he tries to load up a savegame, nothing happens. The game just sits there on the historical start map and I never load anything. If we start from historical start, we can both play any nation we want and it works fine.

I'm assuming the problem is at my end, since I can't host a game, but I have no idea what the problem might be.

Well, we discovered that if the person with the save game emails it to the other and the other puts it in their save game folder, everything works fine. I don't know if that is normally how it is supposed to be done or not. It works, though!

The savegame transfer uses the TCP protocol, so allow it as well through your routers/firewalls.
