This is a question for the ICG bubbas.

Normally, Transylvania rarely appears in my games, and when it does, it gets annexed fairly quickly. But this time, it has remained alive for about 100 years. Here is the problem, though. It seems that every decade, rebels sack the government and it falls. Just like clockwork, every decade it happens. Now, at first I thought it was revolt or civil war random events (I have random events on) causing their only province to be taken by rebels, thus causing the government to fall. But, since it happens so regularly, this does not make sense. Im unwilling to allow that civil war of revolt random events occur that regularly.

So, what is going on? Why does the government of Transylvania fall all the time? And why havent the damn Turks annexed them yet?

Incidentally, Im playing as the Scots in ICG 2.3, and England has been annexed a long time ago. Im thinking this doesnt have any effect on Eastern Europe though.

Slider problems perhaps-either Transylvania's or its' neighbours. The AI can have a delayed reaction to a religion change, taking up to a year to adjust its' tolerances......................

...............well, that's one idea-the more likely explanartion is simple bad luck!:)

War exahusted rebells crossing the Turkish border maybe? This might also be the reason why the Ottomans haven't annexed them yet - the Sultan probably finds the situation funny:D

You know, considering the delayed reaction on religion tolerance sliders, and the fact that every time the government falls, it becomes Catholic (even though its a Protestant province) I have somewhat decided that I have been missing the "Transylvania changed her relgion to Protestant" message, which causes -3 stability plus maybe a revolt, which causes their one province to be sacked by rebels, which causes their governemnt to fall and revert to Catholic....

And your probably right, Gorion, the Sultan thinks it is too funny to bother with a war of annexation over it.
