so I saw that a lot of people complained about the travel time as a Dpanish(or Castilian?) national idea.

I personally think is a quite good idea. As far as the colony gets the more evident the bonus is. Also taking in account that Spain as 1 more colonist, the bonus makes total sense.

Why is people so upset?

I just encounter another post that said that just the diplomats are affected by the travel time. Is that true? If so... yes , travel as national idea is trash....
 
You may want to move this to the subforum of whichever game you're talking about.
