Are there any special tricks for capturing provinces with really huge fortifications? Is there a certain number of cannon I should have to speed up the process? Or some number of troops that will actually win an assault against one of those level 6 monstrosities? I am at 1750 in one of my games and am thinking of taking over France except that all of their home territories are guarded by huge forts. What do you guys recommend? I don't want to have to spend years on each province trying to wear down their forts.
