Are the rules for triggering the crusades the same as vanilla? I ask because my last two games in the 867 start have had the Muslim Jihad event fire within a few years of game start (Damascus was held by Christians). I was told this shouldn't happen before 900.

I also can't get the Christian crusade event to fire. I had a Muslim vassal hold the County of Rome for 5 years with no event firing.

This first shouldn't have happened as I understand the vanilla event, and the second should have fired, but didn't.
