I think that was his original plan - so far he has always put multiple versions of icons at the same time for the player to choose so in the next update he will make there will most probably also be this new icon together with the old one.(but maybe add both versions, i only described my personal taste and there will be people who think the opposite)
You're welcome! I was (almost) sure you'd have appreciated the new version better than the previous one...i do!
i deleted a part of my previous post as it could be interpreted as criticism, but i think we have a common taste: you pulled out a lot of colour and thats something i like a lot when it comes to items/pics in colour - the maximum of colour is not the optimum.
so i appreciate the new version a lot (reminds me to improve the soviets again), thanks!
(but maybe add both versions, i only described my personal taste and there will be people who think the opposite)
Well... not really.I think that was his original plan - so far he has always put multiple versions of icons at the same time for the player to choose so in the next update he will make there will most probably also be this new icon together with the old one.
You are full of surprises aren't you!So, if you want to keep the "First Guards Div. arrow" as a relic , feel free to do so, since there will be no sign of it in the Tripartite Pack .
You know, it only depends on the point of view you adopt and on what your expectations are, that's allYou are full of surprises aren't you!![]()
Titan said:Can I ask you, by the way, what did you delete from a previous post of yours, as you've written? I didn't even notice it but, in any case, no worries: feel free to express your opinions. I'm here not only for taking compliments but also for getting a healthy good bashing every now and then .
I concur that the first one was too colorful.
...ha ha HAAA!!!! This really made me laugh loud...if you do the same with leaderpics, you'll end up with an army of deeply tanned and rouged clowns.
well, i hope i did avoid these things?Titan said:...ha ha HAAA!!!! This really made me laugh loud...
Too kind - that's really too muchOtherwise, it's a 19.5/20
basically the buttons for the events ("ok") and such. i liked the GIP ones with the light brown colour http://www.atthefront.com/us/uniforms/images/whatiskhaki/khaki_M42set_comp.jpg .Titan said:Speaking about buttons: I'd gladly make some of them but I'm currently out of ideas... which ones do you think could still be improved?
Titan said:And, by the way, did you like the new "split troops" and "disembark" ones?
Hm, ok, I'll take a look at them and see what can I improve!basically the buttons for the events ("ok") and such. i liked the GIP ones with the light brown colour http://www.atthefront.com/us/uniforms/images/whatiskhaki/khaki_M42set_comp.jpg .
its just a few buttons which you see very often in game and they make a big difference - just try GIP with armageddon. IMO its a bit too much colour but i leave this to you - the basic idea is good.
Exactly those two buttons, yes. Don't worry, you most probably didn't miss anything as the last update has been rather small in terms of new features.do you mean the "Button_unload" and "Button_reorg"? thats something i use, good work! - apologies if i missed something, i'm busy with my own stuff and probably missed something?
Since the mod is based essentially on graphics and audio, it has a very limited number of text files, which are the ones that can alter the game's checksum.A great thing about this mod is that it doesn't appear to change the 'checksum' essential for a mod to remain compatible with like mods(or vanilla). My only problem s that it doesn't seem to work with the Gunships 'Iron Cross' MOD. If there is anyone that might understand why, or how to avoid overwriting the essential file(s), please explain it to me. I'd love to play with it over the Gunships MOD, an otherwise spectacular MOD with added map detail(perhaps the 'Iron Cross map-I don't know since I don't have it)'.
Since the mod is based essentially on graphics and audio, it has a very limited number of text files, which are the ones that can alter the game's checksum.
However, there are some. Here's a list of all the text files contained in the Tripartite Pack, with in bold the only two which actually change the checksum:
\config\models.csv
\db\country.csv
\db\province.csv
\map\colorscales.csv
All you need to do is to check the other mod's \db\ directory. If it also contains country.csv and/or province.csv, then you know that one of the two mods will have those two files overwritten by the other (depending on which you install last). In your case, you'd want to overwrite the two files from my mod with the ones from Gunship's "Iron Cross" one, which should let you play without problems (I guess, at least).
Also, thank you for having tried the TP!
