TRP - game pauses briefly at midnight each day

I have installed the TRP mod over Hoi2:Armageddon so I don't know if this is the best place to post this query.
Anyway, I've been playing quite happily from 1936 and am now in 1950 as Brazil. However, for a number of (game) years now I've noticed that the game freezes at midnight every day while the computer seems to do it's calculations. It's not horrendous but it's frustrating when I'm trying to do something and the cursor sticks on the screen for a second or two.
I haven't played a "vanilla" game so cannot comment if that behaves in the same way so I was wondering if any other members had experienced the same problem and had any ideas as to what may be causing this issue?

you're right, this isn't the right place or your query.

But however... The same problem exists in the vanilla version.
