Is it possible to use TRP without the GFX? I don't want to replace the GFX because I am using Bebro graphics pack for models and well as interface, or are the TRP GFX tied into the AI triggers?

You can use whatever GFX you like, they are just graphics. There may be inconsistencies with some unit models, though, as TRP has some new unit models in use and others are changed.

Hi everyone, quick question... is the CDCP mod useful for TRP 0.93? Or is it unnecessary? I´m most concerned with the paratroopers bonus bug. Thanx!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but why do I get the year as "A" when I install TRP? I start a new game and the date is "January 1st, A". WTF?

Weird. Are you sure you installed it correctly?

It works perfectly with Arma 1.2, problem arises when I install TRP.

It's strange because it's just a presentation issue, the events fire correctly when they have to, the production is also ok, everything works fine, but the year is always "A".

I've noticed land units have huge defensive values, infantry has like a 50-60 in defensive and a lot in toughness too...how does this influence the fights, won't it become a defensive war?

I think it was part of the process of increasing the duration of battles. You definitely have to plan attacks better than in vanilla but that's good and I don't think it causes any imbalance.

still, this is not ww1 to have a trench warfare..and a sure imbalance is the fact that the engineer defense bonus is irrelevant, because at a defense of 58, another +2 really doesn't worth the cost.
a quick question, if I decrese this in the misc.txt file
# Base chance to avoid hit if defences left
will it make the game more offensively like before?

TRP has PLENTY of offense. You just have to plan better and use what you have better. Headlong attack with no air support over open terrain will . . .well . . .

Get you creamed.

Unlike vanilla, just the idea of superior numbers and/or techs will not solely win you the day. You have to use supply, armour breakthroughs, hold units in reserve to exploit, bombers to create holes, etc to achieve "offense".

All in all a WAY better experience. Yes, you will get crushed initially, but when you finally get it and win hard won battles it make your gaming experience a million times more satisfying then in Vanilla.

Agreed. Much better.

Why again I can't use JGSME with this? ? ?

It says in the totalreasism.com that I wont be able to play vanilla if I moddir the mod. Why is that?

The mod replaces tons of files that do not work under moddir. Also moddir is not completely stable.

What is JGSME?

JGSME is a moddir program. It works in several games besides HoI2.

Ive just dl-ed this impressive looking mod. How does the increased def bonuses affect island invasions in the Pacific?
