hi, I have armageddon 1.1, I just converted some cities to urban areas from editor and added pictures for them.Do I also have to reinstall armageddon in order to install this mod successfully?

I have just downloaded this mod and I am experiencing a few difficulties. Whenever I open the rar-archive I get the error message "unexpected archive end". Therefore I downloaded the exe.-version of the mod. Whenever I do this I get the error-message: "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program."
Undeterred I went ahead with the rar-version, ignoring the error message. Since I have the German version of HoI 2 I copied all the English text lines in the config folder after the instillation into the German line to ensure that the necessary texts would be shown in the game. But now although the game starts without problems I do not get all informations. Many technologies are just represented by "unknown_string" placeholders.
Any idea what could be the cause of these problems. I am all to ready to blame it on Vista since it has given me dozens of problems with all sorts of games in the last month.

To avoid any problems, your safest bet would be to install TRP onto a fresh patched ARMA installation.makif130289 said:

Make sure that you:
1. Download the files in their entirety
2. Don't have any issues with your internet connection that kills your downloads
3. Don't have any viruses

same problem to me as well. exe. program should be 128 mb but my downloaded exe program is 115 mb..I tried two times and it is always 115 mb..may be problem is emanating from this 13 mb difference.but I have no idea about why rar program gives a warning.
may links on the site be broken?
I closed all explorer windows and now I am trying third times...while being downloaded, exe file was seen as 128 mb, but when download came about 117 mb it immediately finishede and shortcut was created on my dektop.I hope this time same thing will not happen

:wacko: once again it finished in 117 mb and shortcut is created on desktop which doesn't work...I can't understand, does anybody have an idea?
when unRARing it, I get a notification that the "event_text.csv" file has a bad block and is corrupted

If you are having download problems try using a download manager. WE already had this discussion on the TRP forums where some people reported bad downloads but when several people tested it the download was just fine.
Are there any screen shots of this mod so I can see what it looks like before I download and apply it?
im wondering if i should give TRP a go, but at the download for v0.9 is says:

if it aint balanced and the ai is the same as in vanilla im kinda reluctant to go through all the hazzle of reinstalling.

We are up to TRP v0.93 which is for Armageddon. There will be no more updates for Doomsday, sorry.

If you look at this forum and on the main TRP-forum there is plenty of instructions on how to install TRP properly.terry245 said:

Thanks alot realy,but thats what ive been doing it keeps saying it cant find the short cut??What is the check sum for arma patch?i hate to not give this mod a try but it wiont fire up?everything is clean and installed good,ive played many mods here,would realy like to try this one.thanks

The shortcut is most likely just faulty. Just create a new one from hoi2.exe or use the one the installer created when you first installed HOI2.terry245 said:
