As Germany, I invaded America and made a peace deal with it becoming my puppet, but whenever it accepts it just crashes, sorry I don't have the save game as somehow it disappeared (along with several others)

Why didn't the producers fix this?
 
This does work in Arma and in AoD, (to test, event 14, acceptall) but in test 1 run on the immediate load of the save game at full speed (i.e. before any game time has elapsed) the event did cause a CTD; on test 2, with the game run for a few days on a lower speed it did not CTD - see below:

How did the states declare their independence before the peace deal? Is the picture you're showing me from an event caused peace with the USA?
 
It all happens at the same time. This is event 14 on the f12 cheat that lets you make peace with the USA as Germany; this results in lots of ahistorical things such as new Nations of CSA, Texas and California. As far as I know this is the same series of events that would happen with a USA puppet. It is a lot of code and often pause's or crash's the game as you have found out (but not always). I would always save the game before making peace deals/annexations.

Invading USA with japan, I offer them to be my puppet , and the game crashes. What shall I do in order to prevent it? I haven't understood simon's suggestion.
 
As far as I understood it you need to slow down the time for a couple of days, saving before making the peace offer.

It does not work. Are you sure?
