Recently while playing EU 2 (version 1.08) I decided to install the EEP update to it. That did'nt work properly (1520 would start, but 1419 would'nt) so I removed it. Only I was having problems with EU II after that, so I decided to uninstall it and wipe it clean from my HD and then re-install.

Only EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to install from my CD it tells me the game is allready installed!

Help!

Most likely you did not clear the registy.
See post#4 I think of the self help sticky thread in this forum.
It will give step by step instructions.

I'm sorry, I checked through that post you linked to and I don't see ANYTHING about clearing the registry, much less step by step instructions (which I would need).

I have Windows XP, by the way.

Thanks again.

This info applies to Windows 9x or ME. It hasn't been verified with Windows 2000 or Windows XP but it should be the same.

...

You have to manually delete a key in your registry. You do that by starting regedit (Start => Run => regedit => Enter) and navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Paradox Entertainment" and delete the Europa Universalis key. It looks like a folder in regedit.(If you have applied more than one Patch then there might be more than one key)

Just in front of your eyes! :)

Hmm, maybe read it again. ;)
The title is "Step by Step uninstall instructions"

Oh -- you know what guys, I SAW that, but I ignored it because I allready checked my registry and there is NO entry for Paradox in the Software box.

What else could be causing this problem? I really want to install and play the game again!

Glad it all worked out.
