No, don't do it! It would be a Medieval clone, without the cool battles!

I think even if it were turn based it would be far better than a Medieval clone.

according to gamespot.com CK is going to be turn-based. Is this true? If it is online gaming will be almost impossible.

1.how many turn-based games did paradox make?

2. gamespot reported that victoria was turned based too.
evidence shows otherwise.

3. i think it is safe to say that CK is as turn-based as victoria is :D :p

I think that akin to other paradox titles CK will be a complex game that will be difficult to finish in one hour or so and it will thus require the gamer to take breaks to eat, sleep, work(?) and what not. He/she will thus have to save and exit the game creating a sense of multiple turns. ;)

They are turn based! Every day is a turn. The game is by default set to run continuaous turns unless you pause it. ;) :D

Well, it's certainly not turn-based in the Risk or Axis&Allies sense, where each player takes his or her turn at a separate time not allowing for contemporaneous actions (as does Diplomacy).

One of the joys of EU II is that you can just set it up and watch it go. I hope it will not be the case that you have to click - turn end. Every day or whatever.

That said I doubt if it is turn based, after all the only paradox game I have played with turns in it was Legions which I found a bit crap. But I am sure it its just "advertising speak".

By the way anyone know when Victoria is coming out in the UK?

It isn't turned based. I though this thread had cleared that issue already...

Legion is a Slitherine game.

I've heard February 2004...
