I've very severe problem with CTD; I've tried all tips for preventing crash (16bit, rename avi folder, no resident program), I've downloaded latest driver for my video board (it seems that CTD was very less frequent with my older driver however :-\ ), and I make some ugly experiments with directx; seems that directx 8.1 runs better than 9.1b (less frequent crash, 1 every year, with 9.1b 1 every 2 months of play)... but...

My soundblaster live! driver are certainly very old! How can I not use music? only setting sound and music volume to zero and renaming music directory?

Please some advice. Note that EU2 1.08 works very well without crash at all.
My only last chance is to try music off.

If this fails, I send you a directx report and my detailed configuration (some: athlon 1.2 ghz, 512 mb ram, windows 98 first relase, video nvidia geforce 4 mx 440, audio sb live! AND pci 128).

P.S. I can try to run game with PCI 128.... but I prefer to use ( = not use at all :) ) live cause complex configuration of my pc...

Rename the Music folder to Music_back
Will turn music off, that is the easiest way.
