Tutorial HELP!

OK, i have played the tutorial for about 9 hours straight now. This game is very addictive and i STILL havent even played it full bore.

Ok i conquered all of England. All natives are destroyed and I accepted a few missions, but when completed got no VP's ill assume this feature is turned off since im the only country. Heck i even managed to colonize Delaware.

Ok so my questions are:

1) How come i cant place my last guy in my CoT? I have 5 traders in my CoT. Does my trade level need to be 3? I have modified my budget for primarily a war budget and cut back on researching the next rennaisance level.

2) Can someone please for the love of god tell me at least what continent the Maremeluks(sp?) are on so i can finish this tutorial

3)I am not understanding the native aggresive levels. Even though very low they sure do attack alot. Even when i move troops through a territory.

4) should i even bother to fiddle with religion in the tutorial?

5) I have built 3 seperate trade posts, in fact many trade posts, but the big green tutorial arrow is still pointing at the COLONIZATION button. How do i make this go away.

1) You need a certain tech level to gain monopolies, yes.
2) Look in the Egypt area / Africa.
3) If not commanded by a conquestador, troops are always (or often?) attacked by natives, no matter what aggressive those are.
4) The tutorial is useless anyway (IMHO that is), but as long as you don't need to, stay away from it.
5) No idea, sorry, probably a bug.

Overall I'd say: go play a GC, the tutorial is a pain.

I have wondered the same thing about the tutorial. It seems helpful in some senses, but not in others. If they ever do an EU2, the tutorial will have to be tweaked. I too looked for the Marmelukes and finally found them after having traded discoveries with Catalunya only to then have my mission changed to vassalizing Catalunya. Maybe I should just quit the tutorial and get on with things.

Just skip the tutorial and start Grand Campaign as France or Russia. You learn much better from there. And there is diplomacy as well.

And for qestion nr 5: maybe you should establish a colony, not trade post? And tech level for monopolies is 3.

The above quote has been snipped

You have no VPs because they are turned off by default.
You have to turn themn on *before* starting a game.
Its thro Options and is called Base Victory Points.
