There should be some error message in the console window that tells you what went wrong.my map filler tool does not create landed_titles txt, I dont get why
Alternative -> LibreOfficeEven I have excel with free trial,i can't open it somehow, do you know how to fix it , or any alterative,
For the character creator you'd be better off using the original tool. The one contained here is stripped down in a way. It makes a line of title holders, each with some siblings. This was used for the Witcher mod in combination with another tool (marriage finder / match maker) to create a web of nobles with claims etc.Would anyone know how to get the character generator to make less family memebers? I just want a line of of 1 rather then a bunch of unused brothers and sisters. Also how can i make those who are landed just women?
Ok, thats fine just wanted to see if it was possible. Its been really great so far for quick landing and character generation. But you can always just delete all unneeded characters![]()
Definitely some encoding problem. Can't really help you without checking out your file.Running into a weird issue with this tool that I haven't had before. It seems to not be parsing apostrophes and special characters properly - some of the apostrophes in province names in the xls file get replaced with one of two strings of random symbols in the landed_titles file, though not all, rather than being omitted. Accented characters like "û" get consistently replaced with short strings of other letters, instead of just the unaccented base letter. It almost looks like some kind of encoding issue, but I'm not sure what would even be encoded wrong here. The version I had downloaded on my old computer didn't do this, but I grabbed the latest version in the OP tonight and now a good chunk of my landed titles and history files are screwed up.
Whatever the case it's very frustrating and I would appreciate help.
