Guys,

Are we going to have an option to get rid of that HUGE BLUE Tweeter bird on the top the screen. I know it displays notifications but can we hide it when there is no new notification?

Its annoyingly blocking the view.

Cheers

20 pages, and nothing valuable said or done in this thread. Amazing.

Devs have noticed it,
people have said what needs to be said,
why are we still flogging this dead horse,
of a topic on the first page?

It's almost a random chat thread, Hmm that sort of works in French and English ;)

After watching the recent released videos I think that the frequency of the messages has to be drastically reduced.

We can make them do this, don't let game developers underestimate the power of user opinion (USER OPINION MATTERS).

It seemed to me that nearly every minute a message appears. That's just too much

now even on Reddit , Steam and other forums people are talking about this.

I see gaming future bright but we need to discourage "I dont give a damn" attitude from developers and CEOs (regardless if it EA or CO or any other).

I don't think most people care enough about whether or not the chirper is there to make any kind of pressure on the developer to change it at this point. Somebody on the Steam forum started a thread to boycott the game because of the bird and has a public group with 0 other people in it. It's not like I'm gonna cancel my pre-order over something so petty.

No one asking or pressuring developers to change it at at this stage or even at the later stages. The only change people want is to have an OPTION to turn it off or at least not put it in the middle of the screen.

I only saw threads about this, i haven't seen any group etc (but thanks, i will join it now)

No one is asking anyone to cancel anything, no one has rights to ask or tell anyone what to play.

There is nothing wrong to have an option to disable a UI element (As i said this issue/problem/request was resolved on first page if there was a RESPONSIBLE message from CEO on this than just stubbornness)

While at first I was genuinely worried about the bird, now the issue is so bloated and extinguished that I don't even care anymore.

That was posted four days ago. The fact that this thread still managed to make it to 20 pages with the same complaints is beyond me.

The bird is not being relocated (at least not without mods or developer intervention). In fact, I think if it's in the way people will be more prone to listen to it, as opposed to it being somewhere off where our eyes rarely wander. The public advisors in SC4 annoyed the hell out of me from time to time, but at least I could click all of their problems away. Now, I don't have a choice, and I love it. It allows me to not only make a beautiful city, but allows me to keep it in check, as well.

Mate ! This is your personal preference, turn it ON or OFF (your choice as now we have an option) i highly appreciate CO adding an option to silent the bird and don't forget it was added 3 weeks before the launch when DEVS are under a massive amount of pressure and cannot perform major design changes (This change is highly regarded). The option to MOVE the bird can come later after the launch when they have more time or by a Mod.

So, its over, just let it go ..

If not getting rid of Chirp then at least have management options. Like "Delete All" or "Clear All" button.

I have 'do not display' set for Chirps and get a big list. Having to delete each chirp individually is just maddening.
