to be honost i havent ever considered buying this game, but seeing the byzantines draws me closer and closer to buying it when its out

Very Happy with the game so far
I have read this thread with increasing interest as the various "secrets" were revealed by paradox. I have logged in every couple of months to check out on the development and although the very long development time is a bit irksome (especially as some of that time might have been wasted with this Snowball thing) at least it looks like its back on track.
EU II and Hearts of Iron have pretty much taken over my leisure time since they came out and have elbowed aside all other PC games to the point where I simply do not buy any other games. The sheer replayability of both games (especially EU II) means that my initial out lay of £30 has paid major dividends in terms of time spent. However, I think I am reaching the point where I can only colonise the New World or take some third rate nation and elevate to the status of world power (esp Savoy and the Swiss!) a few more times before I have sucked the life out of the game! Therefore I need a new one and fast otherwise I will have to go back to Civ II or check out the total war series.
The point of this ramble is that I hope that CK comes out at least by this summer and I was wondering if Paradox could give us an idea of when its likely to be finished given that it has been two years and all. And if they wont how about the rest of the forum any ideas?

Earlier, I'd say, since they started beta testing a few months ago. For reference, the main beta testing for VIC lasted about 6 months or so from the beginning of testing until the game's release.

I dont think that victoria was rushed. 1.01 has few CtD, or real bugs. The main problems are with game balancing, or that what the consumers had in mind was not what the developers put out.
The two major problems I see with Victoria are:
1) the pop grow bug
2) the factory output bug. This is the worse onr, since it seemed that the actual output was ten times what was intended, but the betas did not caught that, so the game is out of balance both in 1.01 and 1.02
