Okay so I have two drives on this laptop of mine, C: is generally for all the important non-game related things and the D: is for games and such. While cleaning my C: I discovered that this game was installed onto it. This confuses me because I have it on the D: as well.

The one on the C: looks like it's opening from the online GameStop thing while the D: opens from Steam. I open it from Steam, is it possible to remove the Crusader Kings on the C: and if I do, will it affect anything in the game? They look like they're the same except for a few things possibly on the C: because I've edited game files in the D: folder.

I wonder if they are the same game actually. The game installs some files in two separate locations; the code files are under steam/steamapps/common/ckii and the user files under MyDocuments. What actual files are they, do you see ck2.exe in both places?

The other possibility is that your Steam directory is in the system path (so under c:\program files\ ) and Windows has made a copy in its Virtual Store.

Ah now I see. The files in the C: appear to be the resources folder and various translation bits. Stuff that looks important and is not the full CKII folder itself. Good to know, I shall have to look to other things to clear the drive. Thanks.
