I’m not certain if this is the correct place for this type of posting but I have noticed over the last week of playing two things that I would like to bring to your attention.

- The Game actually considers February 30th a legitimate date
- There are times when I’ll move troops to the front line, while still at peace, and the next thing I know I’m being told that the army has been completely annihilated when in fact they are still there and there has been no attack.

Thanks,

GP

WAD = Working AS Designed
Which means it will not be changed and is not considered a bug since it was designed that way.

I don't recall Johan's explaination but just chalk it up to gamebalance and ease of play. Note months do not have 31 days either. So every month is 30 days

Because this "most accurate strategic game ever" would not gain thing1 from having 28 days in February. As it is now, I can produce 4 type-X units (using parallel build) in one year if X units cost 1IC for 3 months. What do I gain beyond flavour if the 59th day of the year is 1 March instead of 29 February?

If it is 28 February, I can send a sub flotilla on a convoy raiding mission for 30 days by clicking the "+" on the "month" entry of the mission length dialogue box. The programmer does not need to choose between having that "plus" add 30 days or one month-variable "month" to the mission duration.

For that case and similar reasons, 1 year = 12 months = 360 days is more helpful than a perfect calendar date-system.

The "army annhilated" message is probably due to second-thoughts on your reorganization of groups. Depending upon what you do when you reorganize formations of units, you may create phantom formations with no divisioins/squadrons/flotillas therein. When the game engine notices this, it will destroy them.

Pretty much covered by my ease of play explanation.
