Two Popes - Intended?

I'm playing a game as the Lombards and I've just conquered Rome from the Pope. I had assumed that I would be able to give the bishopric to someone to make them the new Pope, but it seems to have gone a little weird...

Will they behave like Antipopes? How can I make my pope the "True" Pope? Will this mess up the Schism?

OK, now it's gotten really weird.

Papal States title shows Innocent II as current holder:

But he's dead!

WAD, one is the pentarch, the other is holding the "secular" title of papal state. There are maintenance events in place that fix that in time.

I think the dead holder will be gone after reload.

Something similar happened in my game. When everyone died, it righted itself.
