Ubuntu 22.04: Launcher 2.2023.2 - unable to start game as launcher does not scale properly

Hi, I am running the game on Ubuntu 22.04 on a Dell XPS 13+ with a 4k screen. I use fractional scaling to 300%. I installed launcher v2.2023.2 today and are unable to launch EU4 properly as the launcher window does not scale correctly (again): I simply see the left part of the launcher menu without the ability to scroll to the right and start the game. Please also see the attached screenshot.

Reverting to the previous version solves the issue - the launcher scales correctly.

My guess is the issue is related to this:

I use fractional scaling to 300%

which is very likely an untested setting.

@Deuterium Oxide has there been a recent change in this area of the launcher?

Thanks for looking into this - anyone using a laptop will use scaling and will appreciate your effort.

Not sure if the following piece of info helps: The launcher worked yesterday - but then Steam was not scaling properly and the UI was very small. Today, when Steam scaled properly again the launcher stopped working again and I am back to the screenshot that I submitted earlier on. I am not sure what made Steam change its tune and turning off UI/font scaling in Steam does not help though.

Hi,

I just want to bump this up again - the launcher is still not able to scale properly. It is one of the few apps on Ubuntu that don't handle factional scaling correctly (where R Studio, Discord, Teams, Zoom and pretty much all other apps work) and forces me to change back and forth between 300% and 100%. I am on a 13" 4k display so 100% scaling is close to useless, but every time I have to use the launcher to change something I have to change to 100% and then change back again as I can't see anything at 100%.
Right now I wasn't even able to accept the EULA after a clean EU4 reinstall without changing the scaling.
If I want to start the game at 300% I have to drag the screen to the right three or four times just to launch the game.

I would highly appreciate it if this could be fixed.

Paradox are shut down for their annual summer break, so I'm afraid nothing can be done at present. Hopefully next month!

Thanks - I wasn't expecting a quick solution in any case as this is probably a niche case. However it would be great to get a solution at some point.
