So I'll be playing UK in a MP, game but dont have much experience on playing UK. My problem is what to do with production pre-war? Factories? INT&FTR? CV?
I heard that I should have 16 FTR/INT's, an army to take on the Italians in Africa (MOT/ARM?), more CV's and a large garrison to protect Britain by 1940.
So maybe two runs of factories until 1938, then fighters, CV's and land forces?

Opinions? Advice?
 
As the Allies I try and abuse the gearing bonus as much as possable. IN 36 I normally build
a single X99 run of fire control. Place them on your battleships
A singe line of transports and convoys.

Reorganise your fleets. Obsolete destroyers can be used for ASW patrols but I normally disband the lvl 1 destoyers and cruisers.

In late 36/37
X2-3 lines of improved destoyers- you can rush the tech.
maybe 1-2 line of improved lit cruisers with fire control. UK has a large amount of CAII which can be combined to form cruizergs.
radar for your battleships

Your starting navy + new screens is enough to fight off most Axis fleets (excluding Japan) unless the German player is aiming for a ahistorically stong Kriegsmarine. I usually lay down X3 CV in 38 or so but in MP might wanna skip that. Also maybe disband all the useless locked garrison and militia units scattered around the map.
 
Perhaps 2 runs of factories, rush-research on inf39, arm III and FTR 40. If rules allows germany to dow SU on '40, doing only 1 run factory is the best choice imo (in that case build FTR I until you've got armIII and inf39.)

The main goal for Uk is to keep france alive until april 40, and to be able to put a pressure in mainland europe between barbarossa and US intervention.
Dont forget to influence allied minors, to make them able to have better sliders.

Having a navy/building more is useless before japan enters the war. Regia Marina/KM can be smashed with only your BB fleet.
