Hi Kavok, the game indeed does continue, and you would be most welcome. Just to recap, game time is 1930 Pacific time (2230 Eastern) on Fridays. I would suggest that you pick a duchy in Southern Germany, or possibly Italy, so as not to be too isolated from the rest of us. If you have a router, you should try to make sure that it lets CK through; you can find instructions for this in the sticky thread in this forum. A quick-and-dirty solution is just to disconnect the router and run your modem straight to your computer, though this gets tedious in the long run and is not recommended if anyone else wants to use the internet at the same time.
Weekly game recap : We played from 1121 to 1131, with seven players : Ccbasin, fj44, wilcox, Villamar, Sid, Germax, and me. Of these, all but Sid and Germax get ontime cookies. fj got a new Duke, by the name of Zikmunt; he immediately used his pagan DOW, as did wilcox for his new Duke Robert and Germax for Sandor. Ccbasin DOWed the Crusade target.

Guys, I have a dilemma. To win the war against the Fatimids, I am going to have to take their provinces. There is no other way. I am just letting you guys know that I plan on releasing any dukedomes I get in Egypt as independent. If anyone has an alternative, please let me know. I would rather have a strong Muslim power there instead of killing them all.

Anyway, are they such pushovers? You're only a Duke, after all. The AI is sometimes a bit slow to mobilise, but it gets there in the end.

Alright guys, looks like you dropped, and my comp didn't let me know. If you guys could identify when you last were in the game, I'll be able to figure out which save would work the best, as I have a couple saves as possibilities.

Oopsie. I'm not quite sure what the date was, so I can't help, really. But unless you went twenty years, or something, we should be ok, no? With ghosting, the AI can't have done anything stupid, and nobody was at war as far as I remember.

I got saves from january 1136 and april 1137. I'll likely use the 1137 one, and will pass the save on to interested parties.
If you could send me the save, that would be good; people have ontime cookies to edit in. skalgamalt (at) hotmail (dot) com. Incidentally, you'd think the bots would catch on to this method of obfuscating emails.

Everybody went through dukes at an amazing rate; both I and wil got two new ones in one session. Everybody therefore has a pagan DOW available next session. Germany collapsed. Wil and cc both made amazingly good marriages and will, unless their heirs are assassinated, be very powerful quite shortly. The Pope calls for a Western Crusade to destroy the usurpers! (Ok, I made that up, I'm not PC anymore.)
I dont now how powerful I will be. I wonder how much of Germany will be left by the time it passes to me.

What effeciency are you running with your duke?? I see where you have 13 to 16 provinces as your personal demesne. That may be why you have no troops.

That is exactly the problem. My old duke's ?personality traits? caused all my vassals to revolt, and now I have a very bad reputation, so I can't have vassals.Ccbasin said:

Sure, cc, sandbags away! Germany is a bit battered at the moment, granted, but you can hardly argue that having the largest King title in the game doesn't make you vastly powerful! Besides, as a former vassal of the corrupt Kings of Germany, my claim on the title is much better than yours. And my father the Crusader will surely be made a saint. :nods:
