un-zipping New Maps. Help plz

Hi, guys I know this is a noob question but having been gone from Paradox games for about 2 years now I forgot how to dl maps.

How do you download maps? Do I simply unzip them into the Paradox Entertainment folder? I did this with WATK.zip and when I start EUII I still get the same old map. I noticed that the WATK.zip folder simply existed inside as a folder so I cut and pasted all the files inside to the general EU2 overwritting everything and then tried to start the game. I got an error message at startup and crashed to desktop. Any ideas?

Exe. files do all the work for you, so no problems there but I don't know where exactly to unzip the WATK files.

What you should do is:

1. reinstall EU2, since you messed it up by overwriting some files.

2. un-zip WATK into your EU2 main folder, this should create a WATK folder (moddir).

3. download KaRei's modlauncher, here in post #9, and follow instructions.



Also, be aware that:

1. some people sleep at night.

2. you're not being very friendly either.

As to the second comment? Is it because of my remarks about the AGCEEP taking years to release their new map and criticizing them for not adopting one of the other available excellent maps to please their own ego ?

Sorry, I just felt they were warranted. Some of us has been waiting for 3+ years. Since waiting for it in Middle School, I'm now in college... (skipped a year) :wacko:

Anyway regardless of their ego, AGCEEP is the best No. 1 mod by far in all the EU2 and EU3 series. Nothing, NOTHING will come close to surpassing it. Not even Manga Mundi. Long live AGCEEP.

Its a love hate relationship.

Thanks. Be assured we do our best. I hope you can understand we only want new materials that we fully agree with too. This is true for the map, true for EU3 (even with last expansion) and we had no choice for EU2 until the release of its source code.
