Not sure if this was temporary but I just tried to create and join a game and it worked fine.

Update on this! I've spoken with my IT team and they are looking into the logs to see what they can find.
Now I can login and invite another players into party, but my friend within the same LAN-network cannot. My friend gets the same "unable to connect paradox server" -error message.
Have your IT guys figured this out yet? I just purchased this game and would like to play with my friend... Would prefer not to ask for a refund. Seeing as the servers are hosted on AWS the recent outage may have affected them? I'm surprised it's taking this long. Make sure all the needed services are back up since the servers probably went down.

I have the same problem. Really disappointing.
With Firefox I can open the "These are not the droids..." HP. With IE not.
Bitdefender is off. I tried also the startup command line, but that did not help

3 days and at least ten attempts later, I still can't connect to the paradox servers... It's really disappointing. And i've been on this game for 2h30, so I can't ask a refund, great !

It seems the issues have returned ><. There is an internal ticket opened for this and I hope to have it resolved today.
