unable to install the game

I saw 1.6 was realesed so I decided to reinstall the game before I installed the new patch. So I uninstall the game, remove the HOI folder and try to install the game again. But when I press the install button the remove/repair menu appears instead of the install menu. I have also tried to put the game on the harddrive and install it from there, but that dident work either.
I have uninstalled and installed the game several times before and never had any problems with it so I have no idea whats wrong. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Sounds like something messed up with the uninstall.
You should therfore manually uninstall it.
Following these instruction.
In particular you need to get rid of the registry entries.
