As the title says I was unable to load a saved game. I was well into 1940 in a 1936-48 game as Germany, when I tried to load tonight I got some kind of error message which gave me the options to 'abort', 'retry' or 'continue'. I chose 'abort' and subsequently tried to load again but this time the screen froze during the 'reading scenario' portion of the load.
I would love to reclaim this game and I have been saving every 3 months but a lot has happened since my last save and I would just as soon not have to try to replay my actions.
Thanks in anticipation

Yes there are still a few issues with saved games. The paratrooper being loaded when the save is made is one to avoid if possible. You may also want to turn your autosave on to save once a month, in addition to your manual saves. That way you have more options if you do encounter problems. As for recovering your save, you may want to try the editing forum, some kind sole in there may volunteer to take a look at it.

Also for the future it is always a good idea to write down any error messages that may happen on your system, this will help in solving any problems that may arise.

When your game continued were there any problems ? I have been having problems with the convoy screen, at one point I was shown I had rubber available in a province that I did not own.
I assumed that the loaded game was somehow corrupted and therefore was loathe to continue since there may have been other problems.
Thanks to all for your replies and in future I will make note of the error messages.
