unable to load saved games

I am unable to load saved games (autosave and saved games). When I click on the saved game or on autosave the START button does not become highlighted. I am able start play on the 3 campaigns (Hastings, 3rd Crusade, 100 years war). When I click one of these campaigns the START button becomes highlighted and I am able to begin play. For some reason the saved games are not able to load. I have reinstalled 4 times, added patch 1.03 and defragged the PC. Any suggestions....... : confused:
