I have tried everything that I can to try to get EU2 to work, but I can't play. I have Windows XP. When I try to start the game after a few seconds the screen goes black and I have to shut it down with Alt-Ctrl-Delete. I think that it might be a problame with the intro video files because I cannot play the video files in the AVI folder in the EU2 directory. Any help will be much appreciated because I used to play this almost nonstop before I got a new computer. (gave old one to cousin so I can't play EU2 on it)

there is a known problem with XP and the video player; usually you run the game in compatibility mode (Win95/98) or you rename the AVI folder to AVI_OLD.
