Unable to reinstall DD

Hey, was trying to edit game and afterwards it wouldn't play. I then tried, to repair the file but recieved error message about unknown error string. I then opted to manually remove the game since it wouldn't allow me to automatically remove it due to missing/corrupted data. After following ALL instructions to remove both HOI2 and DD, including regedit. My DD disc still wouldn't reload the game and I recieved the following message.

An error occoured while launching setup.
The remote proceedure failed.
Any Ideas as to how to correct the problem so I could get this up and running? I dare say I won't be using the editor until they get the bugs worked out of it.

Still no joy!

I have been following the noted thread but none of those solutions has helped me out. I did send a bug report to Paradox, but have not heard from them at all. Not even an email to let me know they reiceived my bug report.

frote run.. regedit and delete dd register and then delete it manual shift+delete and do copy game diffret directory and edit thaht game not normal

Still no joy!

Tried to do as instructed. Game will still not install. it does put a new registry into place, but will not repair, remove or install DD.

I have followed the instructions to the letter and still get the same error string reported above, when I attempt to reinstall. Also I must be missing some protion of the DD files since when I go to reinstall it only allows me to repair or remove the game. Both these options lead nowhere.

Then you have not removed everything, since if you had the CD would not have any reason to think the game was still installed.
For DD you may have to alter the Uninstall instruction to conform with the different DD install.
Example Doomsday instead on Hearts of Iron ...

Yes, I did find something in my add/remove program file but it won't let me get rid of it. Any backdoor way to get into this and delete the doomsday title?

The manual uninstall instructions cover the three areas you need to delete stuff.
The folders, the installshield and the regisrty.
If you clean out all three of those of any Mention of DD, Doomsday, HOI2, Hearts of Iron 2, then you should not have a problem.
Run searches on all those terms in all three areas to find the problem.
