Unable to save game - Xbox Series X - Remastered

Hi,

I am receiving the message: "An error occurred while saving the game. Please try again later." and I have been unable to save the game at all since then.
This started happening after my city had grown to 100K+ citizens.

Playing Remastered Edition on Xbox Series X

A quick google search shows other users on Reddit with the same problem. I hope this helps to get it fixed.

Yeah have same problems. Read also had 2 to do with the 25 titles. This way can never build bigger cities

Hi, i have the same problem. Using an external USB 3.0 hard drive didn't help. Oh, Microsoft support was at a loss. It's very annoying when you suddenly can't save after spending a lot of time and everything is lost.

Hi, habe das gleiche Problem. Die Verwendung eines externen USB 3.0 Festplatte hat nicht geholfen. Ach der Support von Microsoft war ratlos. Es ist sehr ärgerlich, wenn man nach viele Zeitaufwand plötzlich nicht speichern kann und alles ist verloren.

Oke strange hope they fix it soon. This way aint playable than can better start old Xbox version. Than also has the latest dls that are coming in fall this year for the remastered. Like to make a cities with 25 titles.

Could you give us more information about the map you're playing on? Is this a custom map created through map editor?

Hi, for me it’s the Asanu Beach map from the Airport DLC on the remastered version for Xbox X. Once I hit the 16mb save size, the auto saved started giving me that same error, and I can’t manually save either, even on a new slot. Thanks

Have same problem my file is 16,27mb. Continue the game cant save. Play with all dlcs installed and play the map Lakefield that comes with a dlc.

I’m experiencing the same issue on two different saves: both slightly over 16mb, 25 tiles, 100k+ pop. The maps were Diamond Coast & Two Rivers from the general selection, non dlc.

I am experiencing this issue as well on a save of 16.27 MB. I have been playing from quick play, but now that i want to start a new city I will lose my save from this

I am having the same problem saving my city at this strange limit. Can’t build any Further and I’m currently playing on Xbox cloud gaming. Remastered version. Any word from paradox? Please help

Hello, playing on Series X (internal drive 123GB available), non-DLC map Black Woods with 9 tile limit enabled. Using this city to unlock Unique Buildings and achievements. Can’t save in new slot either.

• Were any cheats used such as Unlock all, or 25 tiles?
• Was Quick resume enabled? (specifically this one)
• Was it a base game map or a custom one?
• Which console are you playing on?

Quick Resume was enabled but the game was closed several times during construction.

I'm doubting it'll ever be fixed. They've barely acknowledged the issue and it's been 2 months since the release. In that time they've not only released a bunch of DLC and free update for the original game, but also an additional patch fixing issues in that update. What has the remaster had in that time? Silence...

Strange thing I see is in the reserved saved data Xbox One edition has 1GB Reserved space for saved data and remastered only has 256mb. Thats 4 times less. Should aspect it to be even bigger. Added pictures
