Unable to update workshop assets using Asset Editor

Expected Result​

So normally, as far as I remember, I might be missing a step here, after you publish your new asset, if you notice a missing item in it or wanted to improve it, you would normally download it from the workshop, run the game, go to Content Manager, then Assets and search for the downloaded one. It's marked clearly that it's from the workshop (it's got a link to its website), and there would be a button to Update instead of Share.

Actual Result​

Same steps as above, only that there is no button to either share or update. One of the assets I just published, I downloaded it for testing - it had that Update button. But as I closed the game and opened it again - that button never appeared again. The same regarding my older assets - they have no button.

Steps to reproduce​

Edit: after publishing assets on the workshop, if I download them, I have the Update button showing in the Asset Content Manager; only after restarting the game and getting to the Content Manager to update the asset, all those assets that previously had the option to update them, have no option now, it's all gone. Unsubscribing and subscribing back to them doesn't help; verifying the game files doesn't help.

I've also tried verifying game files, as someone else had similar issue that was resolved after verifying game files.... it didn't help in my case though. What's most funny - I had only was of my assets showing that I could update it (the button was there). I had to close the game, restart it, and when I opened it 2 minutes later, there was no Update option even for that one single asset anymore.

Edit: It's the same with other newly created assets : after publishing them on the workshop, if I download them, I have the Update button showing in the Asset Content Manager; only after restarting the game it's all gone.

How do I get it fixed?

Not sure why this post was moved to modding and resources when it's about a bug in The Content Manager that allows to update your workshop assets once only, but when you run the game again it will never give that option again.
What's that got to do with mods or assets? It's the very game menu not working I'd say.
