I'm playing as Japan and have pushed the Soviets south to the Caspian Sea and west to Osa/Molotov/Chelybinsk, where they're wedged on the other side by the Germans. When I reached Aug 27, '44 @ 15:00, I got a "Soviet's except peace agreement" and I'm of course kicked out of the USSR. Why didn't I get a choice of declining it? I went back to a prior save and when I got to the same date/time, the same thing happened.

It can't be their bitter peace with the Germans, I have some of the necessary provinces I think and the UK has Baku.

I also tried playing as the Germans and as the Soviets, but it passed by Aug 27 with no event.

Is this a bug, or how do I avoid it?

Thanks in advance for your help...

I did some research and I think this might be a bug. When I looked in the History.txt, the following had the last time/date stamp:

Germany went with Accept the conditions in Stalin sues for Peace.
Soviet Union had The Bitter Peace .
Germany accepted peace with Soviet Union on the following terms : Return to Status Quo.
Soviet Union accepted our generous peace offer.

Since I'm playing Japan, it probably thinks I'm an Axis country, so I get the same result as Germany. But I never joined the Axis powers, so I shouldn't be part of the bitter peace agreement.

I'm guessing if I find the "bitter peace" code I can comment out the Japan part. Do you think so? I'll take a look, but if you can tell me where the code is, it'll speed things up.

Thanks for your help
