I used the landscaping mechanism to flatten an area, thinking it would make a good spot to build a dome. Unfortunately, I can't place a dome there because the game still considers the area to be "uneven terrain". I'm not sure what is the point of flattening an area if I can't build a dome there.

EDIT: Well, it turned out there were a few tiles that were still uneven. I'm not sure how they managed to evade my initial attempts at flattening the area, but I went over them a second time with the flattening tool and it now lets me put a dome there.

I think the landscaping flattening tool is bugged. I'm getting this same behavior now in a different area. I flatten a region and as soon as it is completed I try to run the flattening tool again on the same region and it tells me it still isn't flat. I just flattened the same area three times in a row and it still isn't flat.

Besides fixing this bug it would also be nice if I could rubber band the tool to select a larger area rather than just a stripe.
