in a recent large save, I still had bugs with colonists dying of asphyxiation outside. I think they somehow bugged out either crossing between domes because they thought the path was clear with tunnels along the chain but took another route (outside) that was too long for their O2 Tanks. It was quite frustrating, but at least I still understood what was happening, even if it was most definitely a bug.
Now, I just had a colonist dying of "extenuating circumstances". What the hell does that even mean ? Is it some kind of pun to say he died of exhaustion ? I don't understand how hat could happen has he had max sanity and near max comfort. Is it a confusing way to die of old age ? I wouldn't expect it, since she was a biorobot. Was she killed by security ? She was a renegade, after all. Was she a victim of espionage ? If she was somehow killed and I'm not supposed to know by whom, I'd expect a message like "assassinated" or at least "killed". Is it a "natural death" ?
I think "natural death" includes old age, but it's never explained. Please explain the rules of the game somewhere, at least document the wiki. What are the causes of death in the game ? I'm not even sure if it's possible to Identify a bug. Do we have some game designers around somehow still thinking games are more engaging when players don't know the rules ?
I'm sorry for my tone, but after 300 sols of carefully building up a colony in 1055% difficulty settings, random colonist death without any level of explanation is somewhat hard to swallow.
