Im having trouble uninstalling HOI2.

Im not sure if it is because I have modded and added files in the main HOI2 directory but the uninstaller keep coming up with a catastrophic error in the 'core files' (wherever that is).

When I started to manually remove files, the interface folder in the GFX keeps on coming up with errors saying 'the file is in use somewhere else' or something like that...

I dont get it...could anyone offer some advice please! Im desperate!

to resolve this problem restart ur pc then go into the interface files and then delete the main files within interface and when they are gone you will be able to delete the interface file

Cheers that worked.

I have now manually removed all the files to the recycle bin but when I put the disc in to relaod the install option is greyed out. I assume the machine still thinks the game is on the machine because it hasnt gone through the correct un-install process...how do I get around this???

Many thanks in advance.

I think that got it, thanks ever so much everyone!

@gilf. I had to un-install, I made a boo-boo.

I spoke too soon....

After deleting the regedit, the install wizard says I can install but clicking install just takes me back to the repair or remove screen, which is no good.

Regarding that Vic guide...this part-

InstallShield creates a directory where it keeps all the information on installed software. On my machine it is 'C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information'

seems to have changed...the files are set up differently and they dont seem to mean anything. (although they dont seem to be hidden)

Help more please!!... :eek:

oops, I think max meant this to be in HOI2 support, not Diplo Support.

Just do a search for the HOI2 related entries in the Installshield folders.
