Hi,

I have been unable to play EU2 on my 1024 x 768 laptop monitor. I'm not sure when this problem started, since I've been using a larger monitor mostly. Hoping to fix this problem, and to make the game clear for updating to v.1.09, I tried to uninstal the game.

The unistallation, launched from the CD's autoplay function, stopped almost instantly after it started. "An error occured while launching the setup. Call for ETA procedure failed", or something like that, it was partly in Finnish. I then tried to uninstal the game I from the control panel, but the same problem occured.

I then tried to fix the game from the autoplay function, and there seemed to be no problem during this procedure, but the game doesn't run.

Desperate, I then, foolishly, deleted the game folder. This obviously left some trash behind, since the game is still seen in my control panel, and I can neither install nor unistall it (same problem as before).

So, I would like an answer to all of these problems, and especially the to last one: how I can delete the trash left behind from deleting the game folder, so I can install the game again?

Thank you in advance!

See post number 4 in the self help thread for complete manual uninstall instructions.

Thanks! But I still have problems.

I've deleted the register keys as instructed by the Step-By-Step Unistallation thread. After restarting the computer, the keys were gone.

Now, when I launch the autoplay, there is an option to Install rather than Uninstall, but when I choose it, the screen opens were you can either repair or unistall, with the same problems as before.

I then tried to follow the second part ("prowen to be unnecessary with the latest patches, but left there, just in case").

However, I couldn't find the InstallShield Installation Information on my computer. (I found InstallShield folder in the Program Files/Common Files, but not the installation information.)

I'm not sure exacly which version of the game I had, but I think it was the latest 1.8 beta. Is the InstallShield Installation Information still relevant with this version? Where could I find it?

Depends what operating system you use, just do a seach for EU2 and/or Europa ...
And select "a word or phrase in the file"
